Then work out today!
When you have a hard work out, your body depletes its glycogen, an energy source for neurons and muscles. Over the next few days, your body does what is called “supercompensating” – it produces more glycogen than before to accommodate for the depletion. This boost can help you feel invigorated, productive and refreshed. If you needed another reason to get out and be active, enjoying that glycogen high should be it!
